A no haggle price doesn’t automatically mean that it’s a good deal.
A no haggle price doesn’t automatically mean that it’s a good deal.
You may have heard of car brokers like Costco and others, who claim to get you the best price on a car. At first glance, this seems like a great solution—you save money without paying a fee. But look closer: the broker gets paid an undisclosed commission by the dealer, creating a tremendous conflict of interest. Where is the broker’s loyalty?
Keep in mind, however, that because the following services are free, you may not get as low of a price as you could from a service with more personalized support.
The major problem with most of the car buying services is that they don't really make dealers compete for your business.
It's more like a referral program where all car buyers within a certain location are directed to one exclusive dealer. This dealer agrees to an Okay, but not a great pre-negotiated price, but they also must pay a commission to the car buyer referral service - usually between $350 and $500 per vehicle sold.
However, since you're made it this far on my site, I’m assuming that you wouldn’t be happy with just a pre-negotiated “Okay” price.Another thing you need to watch out for are the extra fees that might be charged with these services.
Some don't list dealer add-on fees or the dealer doc fees, which could add several hundred dollars on top of the no hassle price of the car - and you won't know about it until you get to the dealership.
Some dealers may also try to change the price once you show up to the dealership, or they may tell you the car you wanted is no longer available. They know you've driven far and are ready to buy - and they may try to pull a fast one on you. He or she will then helpfully steer you to another car that's almost the same. But guess what? It's slightly more expensive. Unless you're careful, you're right back in the traditional, heavy-handed sales process.
In contrast to these other broker referral services, my concierge commitment, since it has no ties with any dealer, is designed to find dealers that have the best prices right now.
Unlike a broker (like Costco and others) I am not paid a commission by the dealership. My buyer concierge service has no relationships with dealers, which empowers us to obtain offers from multiple dealers in a competitive bidding process, so you can decide which offer best suits your needs.
If we choose to work together, you pay me a flat fee. Everything will be in the open.
If you’re looking for a change from the hassle and headache of the usual car buying experience, you’ve come to the right place. Allow me to do the work and shield you from pushy salespeople wearing you down for hours, nonstop e-mails, irritating phone calls, and annoying text messages. The dealership that I will shop for you will not know who you are until you chose to do business with them.
My car buying concierge serves the consumer, NOT the dealership.
The key to getting an awesome car deal is by making multiple dealerships compete for your business by delegating me to negotiate and advocate on your behalf.
